About

i’m Mo. i work at a bakeshop in Ann Arbor and spend a lot of the rest of my time making, learning, wandering around, and getting unreasonably interested in things.

i like photography, drawing, computers, self-hosting, old and new technology, books, music, cooking, getting places on small electric vehicles, and figuring out how things fit together. lately i’ve been trying to spend less time thinking about what kind of person i’m supposed to become and more time actually doing things—making art, learning skills badly before i learn them well, showing up in communities, and seeing what sticks.

i grew up between countries and cultures, so i’ve never felt especially attached to the idea that there’s one normal way to build a life. i like systems that give people room to make things their own, technology that belongs to the people using it, and communities where participating actually changes you.

this blog is probably going to be a mixture of all of that: small observations, projects, photos, things i’m learning, experiments that may or may not work, and whatever else keeps showing up.
